
Susan Laccabue, the founder of Laccabue Tax & Accounting, offers 35 years of experience in small to mid-size financial and managerial accounting as well as tax specialist services. Her vast experience and skills serve as a basis to provide services to clients with various tax and accounting needs. This includes assessment of internal controls, education on audit and accounting procedures, and set-up and maintenance of general ledger accounting systems. Sue is a federally licensed tax practitioner, Enrolled Agent, who has earned the privilege of representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service. Enrolled Agent status is the highest credential the IRS awards. She is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor. Throughout her career, Sue has worked as a Property Manager to a number of companies giving her valuable insight into various industries such as automotive, medical, construction & contractor services, real estate, retail, food & hospitality, and printing & publishing services.
Sue holds a Magna Cum Laude degree from the College of Business at California State University, Monterey Bay, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. She was awarded an academic merit scholarship from the Beverly L. Hamilton Foundation. Additionally, Sue was awarded an academic merit scholarship at the School of Business at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Basel, Switzerland.
Sue’s volunteer service to the community includes a long term commitment to Friends Outside, a community outreach program in Santa Cruz for clients in recovery.
